Chembrasubrahmanyaswami temple
Chembra Subrahmanya Swami temple is one of the important temples of Mayyazhi, the tiny enclave of the Union Territory of Puducherry. The temple is very ancient and it has a glorious past. The ancient temple relics received from the premises reveal that the temple was ruled by the great rulers of north Kerala. The renovation work is carried out by the constant effort of the people of Chembra. The sanctum sanctorum has been renovated. The first utsavam (Annual Festival) was conducted in 2018 with the inauguration of the flagpost and other rituals of the temple. This is a milestone in the temple history. Every year competitions for school children are also conducted as our social commitment . Every month on the day of Karthika day free meals is given to the devotees and on the day of Thaipooyyam which is an auspicious day for the temple many programmes are conducted every year. The temple has to go further in its developments. All the developmental activites are possible only when the devotees of the temple whole heartedly co operate for the temple progress.
